Once we got the hang of it and the boys were sleeping through the night, things became more fun. 🙂 We were starting to learn their personalities – Michael was a super fussy eater for some reason and Marco would cry out in “Gheeeee’s”! Michael liked to eat in a variety of different positions! When Marco would get upset we would always cheer for him to give us a Gheeee!
Michael loved to jumpy jump!
Mr. Marco aka Uncle Fester.. so serious!
We dubbed these their first Drivers License pictures.
Hey - what are you doing over there? Little did we know that this was totally the preview of what's to come 🙂
Such little rolly pollies (sp?).. they were moving, shaking and ready to be on the go. Michael cut his first tooth at 6 months, Marco took a little longer but that sure wasn’t a sign of him being behind. It’s funny how both Baby A (Michael) and Baby B (Marco) could be so different yet so similar. Michael started out as heavier and longer than Marco but that only took a few months to change. Marco surged ahead and pretty much stayed a poundish heavier and just a tad bit longer. How in the world did they both fit in my belly? Smashed and crunched! I’m thankful that they put up with each other in such close quarters for as long as they did 😉
Here are some things to be sure to include!
With my brother Chris - I love you. Septemberish 2008
In Atlanta for the Lions game and Mike with a random Lion fan.. At that game he also met Ernie Sims grandma.. Who knew that in the "A" you really did keep it real?
It was very hard in the beginning and I think, well, I know I blocked a lot out but these 2 munkins made for less sleep then I think we were ever prepared for. I am very thankful for Mike’s Mom – Nana – who was there every step of the way. Without her I’m not sure what I would have done.. I was pretty much on a first name basis with our pediatricians because I called about every little thing. 🙂 They were very nice and walked me through it but I’ve seen what a wonderful man my husband has turned into and his mom had everything to do with it. The first 3 months were a blur but the boys were growing and happy! We were so thankful and felt so blessed to have them in our lives.
Who needs a changing table?

Mr. Marco and Mommy
On December 19, 2008 we welcomed Michael and Marco into the world. I’m so happy that we were able to share their birthday with my Mom. I know she would have made a fabulous Grandma and I wonder what she would have wanted to be called.. anyway. We were thrilled to be able to have not 1 but 2 healthy full term babies. 38 weeks and 3 days – Michael at 7.2 and 19 1/2 inches and Marco at 6.10 and 19 inches. Our lives would be changed forever and we would start the marathon of our lives with no sleep.. yay! I remember the nurses bringing them into our room that next day (Sat. 12/20) and they were able to fit in the same bassinett. They were also able to cry and scream at the same time too! Mike and I looked at each other and had no clue what to do, so we asked for poodies. Stat.
Our Gargantua (9mths) – Mace running the show before 8am
So since I haven’t been great with the baby books so I’m hoping this will catch on and actually stick! I’m hoping this will be something we can all look back on to remember the sweetest things, stages, faces and phrases :). Here goes!
